Managing Your Money

Before applying for one of our assistance schemes we recommend that you take the time to complete a budget using our free Money Manager tool. This will give you a clear picture of your finances and will make filling in the application form much easier. Before you start, it will help if you have copies of any payslips, benefit letters and bills to hand so you can be as accurate as possible when entering details of your finances; it should then only take you around five minutes to complete. Once finished you will receive a printable copy of your budget with graphics to help you understand where most of your money is being spent as well as ideas of how to reduce your spending. Whilst our Money Manager is a helpful tool it is important to also seek professional money advice if you are struggling to pay your bills.

When you’re ready to get started simply visit Charis’ Money Manager .

Maximising Your Money

It would also be useful for you to find out if you are entitled to any additional benefits as understanding what benefits you may be entitled to is an important part of maximising your income. Charis’ Money Max Benefits Checker takes information you provide on your living and financial circumstances and uses this to calculate any assistance you may be eligible to apply for as well as providing guidance on how to claim.

To give you the best chance of finding assistance, before you start you should have copies of any payslips, benefit letters and bills to hand so you can be as accurate as possible when entering details of your finances; it should then take you around ten minutes to complete. Whilst our Money Max Benefits Checker is a helpful tool it is important to also seek professional advice from your local Citizens Advice Bureau  or Job Centre.
